So I finished my AMD build just over a year ago, so now I am going for another build. This time it will be an Intel computer. Haven't really decided on the motherboard yet, but I really like Biostar because they are great at overclocking and I will always overclock my computers. The CPU will be an Intel 2600K with probably an H100 water cooler so I can get it overclocked to 5Ghz. Now I am debating the graphics card because AMDs new 7xxx series cam out and they cost quite a bit of money... I am going to wait a few months and see how far they drop in price. I'd like 2 graphics cards but as of right now the cheapest 7xxx Series is over $500.... I am going to have to wait for it to drop to $250 per card before I am willing to invest in two of them for crossfire. Haven't decided on a case, but it will be a full tower this time. My AMD is a mid tower and it's pretty cool, but it's getting a bit cramped in there. The PSU will probably be putting out 1200w. Hmm I still have more to think about with this build.

Go the HAF X for a case. You wont regret it.
Don't get so sure on hitting 5ghz on that 2600k, especially with a H100. Depends if you have a good chip or not, if it requires less voltage you'll get away with it.
Intel are loads different to AMD, so don't freak if you hit 80+ degrees on the core, they can handle it.
The 7970 is roughly 10% performance increase over the current Nvidia GTX 580's. And I assure you, you'll have less headaches configuring SLI then Crossfire.
Just my 2cents.

If it doesn't hit 5Ghz I will find some reason to RMA it till I get one that can lol. I MUST hit 5 Ghz. It's a personal goal. Never really had any issues with Crossfire, but I have never used Nvidia. I have be Pro AMD for years, but am swaying because of their shitty marketing scheme with bulldozer. I will lookinto Nvidea and I have heard loads about the HAF X case, just never looked into it. Will check em out on Newegg now

Just looked at the HAF X and Nvidia 580 cards.
The HAF X is nice though it doesn't have a 24 pin USB 3.0 connector for the case. If they have a newer model with such a connector I will buy it.
The 580's are the same price as or sometimes more expensive than the 79xx's. If I were to have to choose of the two I would choose the 79xx series because of the added performance for the same or slightly lower pricing plus like I said, "I have never had an issue with Crossfiring"
The 580's are nice cards, but a bit over priced if the new card that is out performing them costs the same or less.
